• OBJECTIVE:

To describe a procedure for the Preventive maintenance of Stability Chambers

• SCOPE:

This SOP is applicable for preventive maintenance of Stability Chambers

• RESPONSIBILITY:

Assistant Engineer/Above shall be responsible for implementation and compliance of this SOP.

• ACCOUNTABILITY:

Manager – Engineering/ Manager – Production/ Head-QA shall be accountable for implementation           and compliance of this SOP.

• PROCEDURE:
  • Preparation of preventive maintenance plan:
    • Inform the concern person before starting preventive maintenance.
    • Ensure that no activities are carried out in the respective machine.
    • Ensure that the respective system electrical supply is switched “OFF”
    • Before carrying out the preventive maintenance display status board as “UNDER PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE” on the electrical panel and machine.

6.2       FREQUENCY:

Quarterly

• CHECKLIST:
  • Check all electrical terminals of main supply machine for any loose wiring.
  • Check heater connections for tightness.
  • Check water tank for any water leakage. Check float valve of tank for proper working.
  • Check blower motor for smooth rotation.
  • Lubricate bearings and nut bolts where applicable
  • Check compressor and condenser for proper working.
  • Check cooling coil for any leakages.
  • Check temperature and Humidity controller for proper working . Check their sensors also.
  • Check safety and alarm system for proper working.
  • Check all the interlocking and lids for proper closing.
  • Start and run the machine in Auto/ Manual mode.
  • Check for any abnormal noise in the machine.
• Remove the “UNDER PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE” status board from the machine and the respective electrical panel.
• Affix the Preventive Maintenance Status on machine as per Attachment– I of SOP/EN/003
• Update the status label of the machine after the completion of preventive maintenance and assembly respectively.
• After performing the preventive maintenance activity of machine, respective area supervisor shall check and note the details on respective Machine Operation & Cleaning Log Book.
• Junior Engineer/ above shall update the activity in respective attachment of SOP for Preventive Maintenance of Stability Chamber(SOP/EN/088).
