SOP FOR TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY MONITORING USING ZEAL HYGROMETER

1.0    OBJECTIVE:

To lay down a standard procedure to monitor the temperature and humidity of quality control lab using Zeal hygrometer.

2.0 SCOPE:

This SOP is applicable for in Quality Control Laboratory

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:

QO-Officer/Executive shall be responsible for follow that procedure.

4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY:

Head- QC and Head QA shall be accountable for compliance of this SOP.

  • PROCEDURE:

6.1      Temperature Monitoring:

6.1.1   Enter in the respective area and ensure that cistern of the wet bulb is filled with purified water properly.

6.1.2   Check the temperature of the wet bulb and dry bulb and record the value in attachment-I.

6.2      Relative Humidity Monitoring:

6.2.1   Calculate the relative humidity by referring humidity chart.

6.2.2   Refer the difference along the top line of chart.

6.2.3   Follow the column down until level with dry bulb reaching for percentage humidity.

6.3      Location:

HPLC room

Chemical Room

6.4      Acceptance criteria:

Temperature: 23 to 27°C

Relative Humidity: NMT 60%
